Walmart has agreed to pay $70,000 in a discrimination lawsuit involving an assistant manager who encountered threats of termination and disciplinary action because of his Mormon beliefs and observance of the Sabbath, the Huffington Post reported Tuesday.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission negotiated the settlement, in which Walmart also agreed to execute measures to prevent future religious discrimination lawsuits.
